Rome has hosted the funerals of great Italian figures who have shaped the country’s culture and history. Among the illustrious funerals, those of Gigi Proietti and Piero Angela are memorable. These solemn and well-attended events drew together citizens, institutions, and the cultural world.
Organizing funerals for famous people requires the utmost professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail, especially when attended by a large crowd. Each ceremony must be conducted with respect for the family and the public standing of the person being commemorated.

If the death occurred at home, you must contact your doctor to complete a medical certificate and the ISTAT form we provide. In the case of cremation, a medical certificate for cremation will be required. Doctors often do not have these forms; they are usually provided by the funeral home. After agreeing on the type of funeral with you, we will provide all the necessary documents and handle the administrative procedures. You can also request that the home arrange for the dressing of the deceased, even if the death occurred in a hospital.
Follow the “disinterested” advice of overly enterprising nurses, caregivers, or doormen. Trust the first funeral home that contacts you after a death. Sign documents without considering what’s written, much less “blank.” Request or solicit favors from public officials, through bribes or other means. Go against the deceased family member’s expressed wishes if their choices do not align with those of the family.
The funeral can generally be held, subject to availability of the place of worship and cemetery facilities, 24 hours after the death. In the event of judicial involvement (violent death, accident), it is necessary to await court authorization.
